Julie Peterson returned to the University of Arizona Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences in January, 2010, after working primarily in the Tucson community for about 15 years. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Arizona. Julie has worked in hospital and private-practice audiology clinics, and as an educational audiologist affiliated with the University of Arizona Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. She focused her work on the birth to 21 year old population while working for 12 years under a “medical home” model at the Children’s Clinics for Rehabilitative Services (CCRS) in Tucson. Her areas of interest and expertise include early intervention and diagnosis and a team approach to providing community services for the pediatric population. She has participated in various humanitarian audiology projects throughout the years. Julie currently supervises graduate students at the GBC Pediatric and Adult Hearing Clinics on the University of Arizona campus.
