Dr. James “Jim” Dean is a Pediatric Audiologist and Senior Lecturer in Audiology in SLHS. He is also a faculty member of the Arizona Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Disabilities (AZLEND) program, with a cross appointment in the College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. Jim has over 30 years of experience working with children with disorders and their families. He has also published in the area of pediatric audiology and presented at many National, State and Community programs. In addition to teaching at the University of Arizona, Jim provides pediatric audiology services at the Tucson Medical Center’s, Department of Pediatric Therapies and the Children’s Rehabilitation Services clinic in Yuma, AZ.
Jim has extensive experience working in humanitarian audiology projects nationally and internationally. Currently he is a consulting audiologists and member of the board for the Arizona Sonora Borders (ARSOBO) project based in Nogales Sonora Mexico.
